 myshadowfleddownorleansavenue: I spent a summer in Quebec. The response to my being "Louisianais" was overwhelming and comforting. I think the Quebecois have a soft spot for Louisiana which those of us in Louisiana who know and understand our history really share. It was a beautiful thing. And so many of the surnames here and there are the same. Families that were split in half. Branches that live in both places. I greatly enjoyed my time in Quebec and I deeply encourage the Quebecois to visit here as well. |
